To understand that passed - need to look back and watch

New York city hosted an exhibition about what the subway looked like in this glorious city in the 1970s and 1980s. The exhibition is large, curators have long selected the work of Martha Cooper, Bruce Davidson, Richard Bandler and John Cohn. There were thousands of them. Because there used to be a lot of footage on this subway. I was so looking through that I sent one of the curators Was speechless. And not because the shooting is beautiful and it is more than just a high – quality reportage work-it is the work of a production photographer, a photographer-a social psychologist and a wonderful portrait photographer. But because I am convinced once again: only visualization gives us the opportunity to assess what happened. No numbers, no statistics, no descriptions give such powerful emotional insight. Deep. Human.
