Previously, in the wonderful section Radioactive Incidents about radioactive water were cute pranks, when good uncles just earned a little on the crazy fashion for radiation. And there was a serious calm the people working on the conscience. Until the mid-twentieth century in Europe and the States there were medical institutions-emanatoria, where treatment was carried out with specially prepared water.
The water there was saturated with radium salts. And radiation levels were strictly monitored. And the level there was very good.
It's An Emanator. It was released by the German firm "Erko" for hospitals and home use in 1936.
"The Emanator consists of a metal cylinder with a capacity of 2 liters. in a cylinder filled with water, a rod of pure radioactive salts is suspended. A day later, the water will be impregnated with the amount of emanation. The water discharged through the siphon tap must be immediately drunk, for the action of emanation quickly ceases."
The level of 4 curies. Patients drank a liter daily.
