And this here is not quite Radioactive incidents. Almost them, though.
But this is not an incident. It's just a dream that we'll all be rich and happy someday. And progress will give us incredible joy.
In the late XIX - early XX century in France printed pictures, they were called "En l'an 2000". Translated, simply, " in 2000." These were such pictures, on the theme of scientific achievements, which will certainly please everyone in 2000. They were printed first as cigar inserts and then as postcards. No one knows how many of them were released and the only known more or less complete set was, at one time, acquired by the writer Isaac Asimov (who, in fact, when he still lived in the village of Petrovichi in the Smolensk region, was called Isaac Yudovich Asimov, but it does not matter).
One of these cards is in front of you. It shows a fireplace that runs on radium. It was supposed that by the year 2000, each of us will be basking at home at a small nuclear reactor.
