Now everyone remembers cosmonaut Alexei Leonov, who left yesterday. He was 85 years old. A decent age, a decent life.
And can I something missed, but all, who published description of his exploits and his painting why something not remembered and not published here is this figure. And it seems to me, in General, the most important of those that Leonov drew.
He drew this picture on March 18, 1965, when he and Pavel Belyaev flew on Voskhod and when he became the first man to go into space. It depicts the sunrise over the Earth from life.
Well, then, he took a small box of pencils, connected by threads with a ring, so that they would not fly away in weightlessness, and he managed to make at least a small drawing.
This drawing was the first work of art that man made in space.
