If you don't know in the middle ages cats were no less fond than it is now. Well, that is, it is clear that no one measured love then and now, but judging by what was written and drawn – no less. They attributed an incredible number of different properties, and even the small community tried to give the cat some of his actual magical powers. Every movement, every action or inaction of the cat was interpreted and explained. That is, at some point, the cat was a perfect example of language. Because in any state it was possible to find a key and all understandable phrase. And as a rule, these phrases were positive or disturbing. And only one of the many cat habits that became readable phrases that did not fit into the General language form was the habit of cats constantly licking their ass. This manifestation of cat care gave a strange character code – it was ironic. Irony to the one who sees it. But the irony is targeted-aimed directly at people. For their stupidity, stagnation and false virtue. And it was so clear to all and-the main thing – didn't cause even attempts to disprove that all terribly irritated: understandably, truthfulness of charges. And as a consequence of mass social hysteria scribes and illustrators of the manuscripts is constantly licking himself inserted these ass cats in any text. But secular texts are, frankly, then it was not really so very much and to insert these cats had or in religious treatises or historical-heroic something. In 1370, in France, for scribes court, was introduced a special punishment for these cats – "for pushing husbands court to thoughts unpleasant and humiliating." Savonarola dedicated one of his speeches to these cats in the sacred books, and, of course, he denounced not the creatures of God themselves, but the people to whom they "point out their insignificance and falsehood, and who turn away and want to see the truth." Now the Internet began to discuss why we were drawn to these cats, was it fun for scribes or a simple manifestation of reverent love of the people to the cats, but nobody bothered even to glance slightly to the side deciphering simple symbols visualizing religious code.
