Very often you can hear that visualization in global studies is only a way to convey the result or build connections. But not everything is so simple and unambiguous. Look, Martin Bellander created this visualization by analyzing 94,526 paintings, in the time period from 1800 to 2000, with color-reading software, scans of which were stored in the BBC archive. The slow advance of the blue seems inexorable. I don't know about you, but I was a little scared. Of course, we all remember that blue represents purity, chastity and heaven. But blue, like any color of the spectrum, has a purely physical and psychological impact and here all psychologists, sociologists and anthropologists agree with us – blue will be the color of stagnation. Stability, if you will. But more often - collapse and fading. A little disturbing visualization of creative processes. In relation to the development of civilization – very disturbing.
